About NTCE 2026
The National Technology Conference & Exhibition (NTCE) 2026 is Bhutan’s premier national platform dedicated to advancing digital transformation, innovation, and strategic collaboration across the country’s technology ecosystem. Jointly organized by Bhutan Telecom Limited and the GovTech Agency, NTCE reflects a shared national vision to accelerate Bhutan’s transition into a digitally empowered, innovation-driven, and knowledge-based economy.
Scheduled from 15–17 May 2026 at the Royal Textile Museum, Thimphu, the conference is guided by the theme:
“Driving Digital Transformation for a Sustainable Bhutan”
NTCE is envisioned as an annual flagship national event that will support the Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB) and Druk Holding & Investments (DHI) in achieving their long-term economic, technological, and social development goals through digital innovation and emerging technologies. The conference serves as a strategic platform that brings together government agencies, state-owned enterprises, private sector leaders, startups, entrepreneurs, academia, innovators, and international technology partners to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and investment opportunities. By creating meaningful engagement between policymakers, industry leaders, and technology providers, NTCE aims to accelerate Bhutan’s digital transformation journey while building a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready digital society.
A key highlight of NTCE 2026 is the participation of leading international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), global technology companies, and regional innovation partners. Their participation will introduce Bhutanese entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, and local businesses to emerging technologies, global best practices, advanced digital solutions, and new market opportunities. This engagement is expected to create valuable avenues for capacity building, technology transfer, strategic partnerships, and investment collaboration that can strengthen Bhutan’s innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial landscape.
The presence of international OEMs and technology leaders will also provide Bhutanese youth, ICT professionals, and institutions with direct exposure to cutting-edge advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital infrastructure, fintech, smart governance, IoT, and sustainable technologies. Such interactions will help nurture local talent, inspire innovation, and enable Bhutanese enterprises to better integrate into regional and global digital economies.
NTCE also represents Bhutan’s strong commitment to embracing modern digital infrastructure and emerging technologies as critical enablers of sustainable economic growth, efficient public service delivery, digital inclusion, entrepreneurship development, and national competitiveness. Through this initiative, Bhutan Telecom and the GovTech Agency seek to position Bhutan as a progressive digital nation that leverages technology and innovation to create opportunities for its people while strengthening the country’s digital ecosystem.
As a long-term national initiative, NTCE will continue to play a vital role in supporting Bhutan’s broader vision of building a smart, connected, innovative, and sustainable future aligned with the aspirations of the RGoB and DHI.
